I Have a Wiikey Updated to 1.9g , PAL Wii and i used BrickBlocker [by accident lol] if you are a pal wii it is ok to do update if there is one lol, i didnt download from these files but its the same iso file as all the others just diffrent rars.

it is asking me for a System Update when I put in my burnt disk... Should I do this, or not?
I am so affraid that my Wii won't work anymore after that update... Any ideas? (I have the Wiinja chip on my wii.. But not sure if it is the Deluxe, because it is one of the first modchips that came out. I bought this Wii from someone else, and not in the store..)

I have a Jp wii pal mod chip with wiikey . Downloaded this iso and burned to DVD with Nero 4x speed . But after run this game , It display only black screen .

do you now what can be happen ?

I have burned the game again, and I have applied the Update remover (wiu.1.1.rar) on my .iso; and I have the same problem now like you... Black screen after clicking on the display of Mario kart in my wii menu...

Anyone has a clue of what to do with this?
I have a PAL wii, and this game should be the PAL version... Should it give any problems if I let it update its system software? Isn't my wii going to be bricked (whatever that means)?
(My firmware is already up to date btw.. I have the 3.2E version)

If you have a PAL wii its safe to update! no need for any update removing

Alright, so I have done that update, and nothing happened idd.. Thank god. But another problem occured to me yesterday.

I have found a way to bypass the black screen and just load up my disk.
Have a look here on how to do that:

1. download PPF-o-Matic:

2. and download the Wii PPF Patch to remove #001 error on Mario Kart:

3. Open PPF-o-matic.
4. Select your downloaded Mario Kart .iso file.
5. Select the PPF patch from wherever you saved it.
6. Click Apply,
7. then burn your newly patch .iso file (should overwrite the original (unpatched) .iso file).

after I have burnt my game twice, the 001 error was gone indeed, but when I wanted to play the singleplayer mode it said: "Could not read disk, please read your wii manual (or something)"
I don't know what happened, or what I have done wrong.
I have burnt 3 cd's: The first one without the patch, made me get a black screen. Second cd with an update remover on it: gave me the 001 error (At least I think so, Can't quite remember because I have tried so much).
And the last CD with the ppf file burnt on it: and it just gives me the error I wrote down above... Could not read disk...
I have tried burning the first disk at 2x speed, and the last one on 4x speed (because I had read somewhere that the writing speed was able to put that message up..)

Any ideas on what to do next? 1x burning speed is a bit too low if you ask me. And more than 4x is too high...?

That wiifree thing is just when you want to convert your Iso from NTSC (or something else) to another region... I don't think that will help, since it is already a PAL version...
Ah well.. Will give it a go anyway, and we will see what will happen after that. Last chance for me, I don't like to waste another cd, lol..

Silly though. I can load up my mario kart until I want to start racing and then it gives: Disc read error, read the manual ; blabla.
Don't really understand.. but hmm..

I've done that update, and nothing happend. The game still doesn't work,and there was '001 error...' until I've patched my game iso. with
'Wii PPF Patch to remove #001 error on Mario Kart'
from evelienn's post, and burned the game again at 4x speed.
Now the game works fine.

What kind of DVD did you use + what brand?

I always use TDK DVD-R. Never had problems with that type before... Until now. My game doesn't seem to work, even when I have tried burning at 1x, 2x and even 4x . Most games worked at 4x speed..

Anulek, don't you get any 'Could not read disc, please read the manual' message?
