Audiofile Engineering creates unique and high-quality audio software exclusively for Mac OS X. All of our applications are written in 100% pure Cocoa and make extensive use of core technologies in Mac OS X Tiger and Leopard. Because our software is written from the ground up in Cocoa, we are able to add features and fix issues significantly faster than other developers who are supporting legacy Carbon-based applications. As Mac OS X grows, so will our applications.

Core Audio

All of our applications make extensive use of Core Audio, Apple's powerful audio API, for a high-quality, superior audio experience.

Audio Units

Wave Editor, Sample Manager & Rax fully support and make extensive use of built-in Audio Units. Your favorite plugs by Universal Audio, iZotope, Audio Damage and others are welcome here.

Universal Binaries

Apple announced the transition to Intel processors in July of 2005. Our applications were Universal Binaries in July of 2005. Coincidence? We think not.

Leopard-ready

All of our applications support Mac OS X Leopard, the most impressive and powerful version of Mac OS X yet. Apple has done it again and we plan on putting many of the new features in Leopard to good use in the very near future.

AppleScript & Automator

We work well with others. Sample Manager is the only audio batch processor for Mac OS X to fully support AppleScript & Automator. Wave Editor 2.0 will also add extensive AppleScript and Automator support.

Multicore

A perfect illustration of the power of pure Cocoa — advanced Multicore support in Leopard. Brace yourself for even better performance on your multicore Intel Macs.

iDisk

One of Sample Manager's numerous actions uploads files automatically to your iDisk. In the very near future, all of our applications will allow you to back up Keyboard Shortcuts and other important settings to your iDisk.

Spotlight

Whether its Sample Manager's powerful SmartGroups or standard Open dialogs, we support Spotlight to help you find exactly what you're looking for.

OpenGL

Optimized for the Macintosh platform, Apple's OpenGL implementation powers many of Spectre's beautiful meters.

Bonjour

Spectre is the first audio application for Mac OS X to make extensive use of AUNetSend/Receive. voXover's unique teleprompter is published to networked voXover clients via Bonjour. No network configuration necessary.
